These kinds of dog foods can be stored in freezers for longer period of time. Dehydrated food for dog is another type of dog food and it is available in both cooked form and raw form. This dog food is similar to the dry dog food but it may need warm water addition before serving to the dog. The third type of alternative dog food is the fresh or refrigerated food which is manufactured by pasteurization of the fresh ingredients. This food for dog is semi cooked and it is kept at cool temperature for using it for 2 to 4 months.
Many people do not like to serve their dogs commercially prepared food therefore; they go for homemade dog food. These foods for dog are prepared by the people and they are sold in the market. Homemade food does not have many preservatives therefore, it should be consumed within few days.
