Automobiles have always been a status symbol for most drivers, and over the past few decades, Audi has been enhancing the looks and technology of their vehicles. The new Audi Q3 is an aggressive looking vehicle that is coming out in August and many automobile enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for its arrival. The new Audi Q3 is one of a pair of compact crossover SUVs that is considered sportier than its older brother the Q5. Unlike its predecessor the Q5, the new Audi Q3 cost less and is more affordable.
The platform of the new Audi Q3 is based off of the designs of some of the Volks Wagon automobiles and the Audi A3. Engineers focused more on developing a sportier version of the Q5 and the Q7. In fact, not much thought went into off road capabilities with the new Audi Q3. Instead, engineers decided to make the Audi Q3 standard with the all wheel drive system. This new compact crossover SUV looks more like a standard coupe, but taller, which makes for an aggressive looking SUV.
This sporty and aggressive looking SUV was first introduced at the Shanghai auto show in 2007. Customers will have 3 basic choices of engines to choose from when purchasing the new Audi Q3. There is one TDI engine and two TFSI engines that range from 140 horses to 211 horses. The overall weight of the Audi q3 is around 3,300 lbs, which makes for a light SUV. Engineers designed this new compact crossover SUV at 14 feet in length, 6 feet in width and around 5 feet in height.
New state of the art technology has also been installed on this new SUV, like a hard drive navigational system. The new Audi Q3 holds an impressive Bose surround sound system with subwoofers that actually illuminate. The interior of the Q3 displays a comfortable environment with futuristic looking gauges. No corners were cut when designing the interior of the new Audi Q3. This sporty car has up to 48 cubic feet of capacity. Car enthusiasts are keeping their eyes on the new line up being presented by Audi, and the Q3 is sure to turn some heads.
